NEON- legal or bs ?
Seems as though Masters Tech DID take and pass the weather test - the all-
inclusive and tough test. Only he passed for UL. CSA accepted that test and
passing grade toallow the WET test which Masters Tech also passed. ONLY
CSA can't find the test results - except they did send a successful passing
certificate, bill, etc to Herb. Minor details !!!??? His products also pass a
dielectric test up to 2 1/2 times the 7500 volt capactiy of our large transformers.
Now, I'm not sure how this compares when someone says that these products
don't rate over 600 volts but it'll be curious. Herb is having a big meet with
biggies to settle this slight problem. I told him to have someone at CAS put in
writing with his or her name, that his products were legal to be used in WET,
WEATHER, COLD, DAMP, EXTERIOR BUG POOP, etc. If I get it I'll post it
and/or fax to anyone interested. Until then, I advised Herb, that both his
products and UL and the CSA testing labs were of questionable use as far as
I was concerned. big deal, huh??? I've also been advised to not appear to be
marketing thse products, advising of their use, etc. or slandering the testing
abilities of either CSA or UL. For this ---- THIS is only my opinion - and I might
be wrong. ( I hate that word.)
Stay tuned.
