RE: Under-car Neon
Howie:
I have a fellow in town who orders the finished neon from me. . . then installs it under cars and on motorcycles. I am producing straight sticks, 15mm. He most commonly orders 2-four foot sticks and 2 two foot sticks per kit for cars. He then slips three large, approximately 1" rubber washers around the tubes and slides the neon inside a lexan tube. Don't know how he mounts the tubes under the car, but I know he went through several brands of transformers before finding something that was reliable.
Try calling West Coast Custom Designs: (602) 820-9517. They sell a line of 12v transformers and under car kits to the trade.

Subject: Under-car Neon
Hello benders,
I have had a couple of requests for under-car neon in various lengths
and colors now that spring is getting closer (5-10 degrees tonight).
Have any of you had any experience making any of these?
I guess what I am looking for is what do you house them in? What mm of
neon do you use? What type of clamps do you use to hold the neon on the
body? What type of transformer do you use?
Thanks a million for any info.
