 Hi, I don't Know If anyone has heard of a product called " MERCON " . When
I started making neon it was the real first time I came face to face with
MERCURY paranoia, I was not taking any risk ,I Know someone who worked in a
denta clinic and she said this is the stuff they used (MERCON)it's also used
in Industrial and Hospital Applications. Where I work, I talked them into
getting some. To make things short,we use the following
 
#1,MERCONvap a mercury vapour suppressant and  liquid decontaminat/cleaser
for all hard surfaces, we use it to wipe up tables after we've picked up
spill and for once a mounth or so clean up around areas were mercury is used
or to be found,

#2MERCONspray (same thing I think but in spray)It was designed to remove
toxic mercury vapour in seconds when sprayed in the air , good for spill
cleanup in closed areas and it states convenient hard surface decontaminant
for wipe up.It also states that MERCON mercury suppressanut airborne mercury
vapours emssion by up to 99% from mercury inrich materials ( what ever that
means? ) 

#3 MERCONtainer for putting spilled mercury in it's lined with a sponge with
what I think is again soaked in MERCON 

#4 we send all used and spill mercury to Laidlaw Inviormental surveses in
the MERCONtainer, for a $100.00 fee. They Recomended pick up once a year .
the coast of MERCON is around $125.00 canadian For those three items and
dependding on how offen you use them they last about a year or so,( I think
it's a small price to pay for your health). Used with proper clean up of
spills and good ventting of the room at all times'I think it can't hurt. I
alwys resect the Mercury and as soon as a spill happens I clean it up.Plus I
use rubber gloves when dealling with clean up. MERCON is a trademark name it
could be called by a diffrent name try going to dental clinic and asking
them.PLAY it SAFE

                                        P.S. EPS CHEMICALS INC. Is the Maker
or supplier Not sure witch one.it also states They are pattented world wide
and accoding to this the American Dental Assoiation Classified it as
acceptible for  mercury vapor decontamination devices.So your dental clinic
should know about it.
