 Hi Howie,

 Welcome and yes, this thing does indeed work.  As for the safety issue,  I
have some threads taken from some earlier discussions on mercury and lead fume
that I had with some experts on industrial hygiene and safety in the arts. 
When I get back from Portland next week I will have to put some of the
highlights of them on here.  It is one area that I am very careful about and
everyone here should be too. Some good ideas about how to work with merc
safely, etc.
