I have had pretty decent results using a regular ammeter in the primary side
of magnetic transformers. Remember, the goal is to reach 78-82% of short
circuit current. which seems to work out okay on the primary side too.
Perhaps it would work for solid state transformers.
Never tried Neonix. Maybe should. Have tried Tech 2000, which used to be
pretty good until recently, and was using Tunewell, but they went out of
business. Tunewells were not the most reliable, but were satisfactory.
