Make sure that the fluorescent layer is absorbing (like a getter) , or can
absorp, more then halve of the amount of rare gas that you injected as a
backilling into your tube. So outgas the fl layer first as it is impossible to
suck out all impuities only during bombarding time. The temp you need for that
is too short available during bombarder time, or you must build in some
hysteresis to watch and control temperature, especially the 180 C range where
all hydrogen is coming free from the glas only at that specific temperature. Not
at a lower or even at a higher temperature. The second time that hydropgen is
coming free out of the bowl of the glass is at a tempearture you never can reach
doing bombarding becouse of the low pressure the tube is under and therefore
will suck in.
